Privacy Policy
Wirebird Media ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through wirebirdmedia.com, how we use it, and the choices and rights available to you.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide directly, through forms on this Site, including:
- Contact form — name, email address, and message contents.
- Maintenance plan sign-up forms — name, email address, business/site details, and, where applicable, billing information (processed securely through our third-party payment processor — we do not store full payment card details ourselves).
- Interest/promotion forms — name, email address, and information relevant to the specific promotion or offer.
- Newsletter sign-up — email address, and name if provided.
Information collected automatically, when you browse the Site:
- IP address, browser type, device type, referring site, pages visited, and time/date of visit, collected via analytics tools (such as Google Analytics) and cookies.
2. Cookies
This Site uses cookies and similar technologies to operate core features, understand how visitors use the Site, and, in some cases, support marketing efforts. When you first visit, you'll see a cookie consent banner where you can accept or manage your cookie preferences. You can also control cookies through your browser settings; disabling cookies may affect how parts of the Site function.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information collected to:
- Respond to inquiries and provide requested information;
- Process and administer maintenance plan sign-ups and billing;
- Send newsletters or promotional information you've opted into;
- Understand Site usage and improve content, design, and performance;
- Maintain the security and proper functioning of the Site;
- Comply with legal obligations.
4. Legal Basis for Processing (EU/EEA/UK Visitors)
If you are located in the EU, EEA, or UK, we process your personal data on the following legal bases under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):
- Consent — for newsletter sign-ups, promotional forms, and non-essential cookies;
- Contract — for processing maintenance plan sign-ups and related billing;
- Legitimate interests — for analytics and Site security, balanced against your rights and interests.
You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
5. Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:
- Service providers who help us operate the Site and our business, such as our email/newsletter platform, payment processor, hosting provider, and analytics provider — each bound to use your data only to provide services to us;
- Legal authorities, if required to comply with a subpoena, court order, or other legal obligation, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Wirebird Media or others;
- A successor entity, in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of business assets.
6. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy — for example, for as long as you remain subscribed to our newsletter, or for the duration of a maintenance plan plus a reasonable period thereafter for billing and legal recordkeeping. You may request deletion at any time (see Section 8).
7. International Data Transfers
Wirebird Media is based in the United States, and information we collect is processed and stored in the United States. If you are located outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S., which may have different data protection laws than your home country.
